The reel connects to an outdoor faucet via its 4 1/2" leader hose, which channels water to an internal, water-propulsion winding mechanism. To recoil your garden hose (not included), simply leave the water running and pull the lever; the reel smoothly and steadily coils up to 100 of 5/8 hose into a weatherproof, yellow Balau hardwood box and automatically stops once the hose head reaches the stop-guard.
